Summary:
Waste Management Field Supervisor responsible for overseeing waste handling and packaging field operations at a nuclear decommissioning site.
Responsibilities:
Will also be responsible for:
- All waste handling and packaging operations at the site including remediation and demolition activities - Obtaining adequate support for waste handling operations (including RP support) - Participating in daily and weekly meetings to discuss waste operations schedules and establish work priorities - Maintaining equipment to support all packaging and handling activities - Working with shipping personnel and disposal sites to ensure that all waste acceptance criteria are met.
- Allocating adequate resources (crew size) to support waste operations.
Qualifications/Competencies/
Experience:
- 49 CFR DOT Subpart H, Radioactive Waste Packaging, Shipping and Transportation Training - DOT Function-Specific/ General Awareness (49 CFR 172.
702 and 172.
704) - At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in a commercial or DOE setting packaging and handling radioactive waste - Prior nuclear decommissioning experience a plus - Current 40 hour OSHA HAZWOPER Training a plus - Must be a US Citizen, no dual citizenship - Ability to lift 50 pounds Additional Details:
